Introducing a new program within Benchmark Learning Center!
Geared for young explorers ages 4-5, to introduce the world of kindergarten within our Learning Center!
This is program is designed to focus kindergarten readiness. The curriculum is the same we use in the extended full time class just without the before and after structured care.
At Explorers Academy, we believe that early learning should be joyful, meaningful, and rooted in the unique strengths of each child. Designed for families seeking a half-day preschool option, our program offers a rich educational experience focused on kindergarten readiness, whole-child development, and purposeful play—all in a nurturing and thoughtfully prepared environment.
Rooted in the Montessori philosophy, Explorers Academy gives children the freedom to move, explore, and engage in hands-on learning at their own pace. Our classrooms are intentionally designed to foster independence, critical thinking, and curiosity through child-led activities and developmentally appropriate materials. Educators observe children closely and guide them with intention, encouraging discovery and deepening each child’s natural love for learning.
Our approach is also grounded in humanistic values and social-emotional learning. We see each child as a capable, whole person and emphasize emotional well-being, empathy, and relationship-building as foundational skills for lifelong success. Children are given the tools and support they need to manage emotions, solve problems, and collaborate with others—key components of both personal development and school readiness.
Play is central to everything we do. We believe that children learn best through experiences that are engaging, open-ended, and driven by their interests. Whether they are building, creating, storytelling, or exploring nature, children are developing essential cognitive, language, and motor skills while building confidence and joy in learning.
